Welcome to Clinton County!
Clinton County, home to approximately 11,000 residents, is located between beautiful Lake Cumberland and Dale Hollow Lake. The county is in the foothills of south central Kentucky, along the Tennessee line, it is home to friendly, downhome people. Clinton is a 196 square miles of scenic farmland, mountains for hiking and lakes to enjoy.
The county seat is Albany and is a place where friends and family come together at special times of the year, October when we have our annual Foothills Festival, to enjoy and admire our local talent, which includes paintings from local artist, pottery, leather works, and jewelry, quilting and broom crafts. You never know what you can find in Clinton County.
We welcome our many tourists that visit the lakes each year for boating, skiing, and fishing. We have a local park equipped for family reunions, sports, and kid’s day out. Hwy 127 runs directly through the middle of our county and each year in the first week of August we are one of many host to the 127 yard Sale.
So come on down and see what you can discover in a place where the mountains meet the lakes…
